Meet Mark Helweg
Mark Helweg began his trading career as a runner on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade at the age of 19 while in engineering school. When he turned 21, he leased a seat on the floor of the exchange and traded in the Treasury Bond Futures pit for a brief time.
After leaving the exchange to focus on engineering school, Mr. Helweg pioneered early quantitative trading models for a local Hedge Fund.
Over the past 20 years Mr. Helweg served as Head of Research and Senior Strategy Developer for several award winning hedge funds. Mr. Helweg authored his first book, Dynamic Trading Indicators; with the John Wiley & Sons Marketplace Series. This book was recognized among the Best Investment Books of 2002 by Barron's magazine.
Mr. Helweg has been a frequent contributor for CNN Money Pre-Market and also speaks internationally on technical analysis in the stock, futures, and FOREX markets.
